One gun quick opening Safes.

Canadian tire.

You can keep a loaded rifle mag in one, drill a hole in the door and cable lock a long gun externally so opening the door releases one end of the cable.

Don't know if you have an XSCARGO store where you are ,maybe something like it.

They have the perfect thing in two sizes,one of which is perfect for a pistol.Comes with keypad for entry and a master key.mounting holes are already there to secure it with lag bolts.

Just think how quickly you can get your gun and ammunition packed up to go to the range and the additional time you'll be able to spend there. I'd be able to sleep in Saturday and make it to Sharon Gun Club before all the eggs and bacon are gone.

Thanks for the info guys. I was thinking of the one gun safe with a touch keypad. Just to have it handy by the bed as we've had a bunch of break ins up here. There seems to be a bunch of crackheads moved somewhere close to us. The gun would be second to my bat but I'm handicapped now and can't move to good anymore. Might just move to Detroit between the crackheads and the bears up here I might be safer.

I have one of each. The more reliable and able to open with closed eyes Gunvault is the bedside storage. The XS Cargo one, for the living room.

The GunVault issue is a bug that slipped through QC. I recommend testing it immediately upon purchase. Another bug, is some of them will fail to open with the proper code. Again, both of these are issues that only a small percentage have, and will happen immediately or not at all. I spent a good couple hours opening mine repeatedly just to assure myself (pretty good practice, too). Definitely change the default code, however. My two year old opened it all by Herself, fortunately before I had anything in it.
