"One Gun to Rule Them All"

This cant be the same Silverdale I was at...

We were nearly ejected for:

handling empty magazines during a ceasefire
inspecting bores during a ceasefire
collecting brass during a ceasefire
moving our unloaded rifles and equipment between ranges during a course of fire

Hands down THE WORST club I have ever been to.

So what you're saying is that Silverdale is a good, safe place to shoot?

Not to hijack the thread but I agree with the majority posting about the range safety issue.

I dont give a crap if the guy next to me knows his firearm is safe and still wants to fondle his stuff. It's my ass walking down range and I feel a whole lot better knowing there sitting on their hands and being watched.

Fudds....

Fudds everywhere

How are we fudds cuz you are unsafe???
Every range i have been to doesnot allow you to touch your rifle, let alone check the bore or move them/ handle a firearm when there is a cease fire.
If that doesnt make sense to you then you are in the wrong sport and should considering knitting instead where you cant hurt anyone!!!!!

it all depends on where you were standing when you were doing the things above..

if you were trying to collect brass from under your table, then it's a big no-no.. there are lines you must stay behind when a cease fire is called..

I guess you also reached for a mag that was probably on your table as well..

The range has rules.. you don't like them (and call people fuds) then the answer is simple.. don't shoot there.. If I was down range and someone was messing around on thier bench with a firearm on the bench.. I would not have been so nice about it..

Make sure you check the rules of the range, I completly agree with with with no handling of firearms during a green flag.
However, If they in fact gave you a hard time for collecting brass and handling a magazine... That would be the last time I shot there!
