One mile, open sight, K31, GP11

The k31 must have been the most accurate rifle there was in the 30's and 40's i have seen and heard nothing but amazing things. Kind of wonder how it would have handled during the 2nd world war combat.

Well... maybe.
After 17 minutes of kicking up dust around it, some other shooters shot at it from a closer range and hit it, so they can't prove one way or another if they hit. Best 17 minutes of my life. I can't believe I sat through that.
All I got out of it, was you can get within a 8 foot radius of a 2x2 target at 1600m with a K31. I wonder how other rifles would fare. Maybe just as good.

There is a video on YouTube of a k31 shooting 1000 yards at an 18 inch plates. 2 out of 6 hit. Just search k31 haha

Im on my iPad so I can't get the link but I think it's buy the same guy as in video one. At 1000 yards he says bullet drop is 507 inches (42 feet). If so that's insane considering he actually got 2 hits with open sights

Ran some numbers on the Berger Ballistics Calculator.

24 " x 24" target is 1.36 MOA square at that distance.
Front iron sight covers 5-7 MOA

5 mph cross wind drift from 9:00 o"clock based on very similar to GP11, Berger 175VLD bullet, at GP11 velocity from a K31, gives:
Left drift of 193.25 inches at 1800yds, T.O.F 4.23 seconds
Left drift of 171.95 inches at 1700yds, T.O.F 3.87 seconds
