Even with something super expensive like $4 a round 338 Lapua, that'd take 200 misses just to break even.I guess if you shoot long range enough, it’ll pay for itself over time with reduced misses.

But if you want to get an accurate assessment of your groups or score, check load development or shoot without needing a spotter, as long as your bullet is supersonic. The Shotmarker is invaluable!Even with something super expensive like $4 a round 338 Lapua, that'd take 200 misses just to break even.
Long range shooting is a team activity.Well done Wheelgun, a mile is a long way and a great accomplishment for her, my farthest hit are at 1410 yards so far, that's the extent of our range, a good spotter doping the wind is the biggest hurtle.
Yes that is for sure!Long range shooting is a team activity.
Yes, which challenges me because my wife is absolutely crap at spotting. The finer details of the MIL reticle seems to stymie her a lot of the time and she often confuses left and right.experienced and match winning shooters argue that the spotter and scope are even more essential than the shooter and gear, all things being equal, ESPECIALLY for ELR.

On the other hand she's quite a good shot and so I end up spotting a fair bit. My next goal is to teach her the ballistic computer so she can work out and dial in her own adjustments.
LOL, that's called Constructive Incompetence, which is if you do a job badly enough, you won't be asked to do it again.Hmm..... Seems like the way I have done chores for the Wife...
