Hey all,

just one more thing, before the weekend painting session.

The rings & base on my 300WM, are blued. Will primer stick to this? I know it might sound like a dumb question, but i stuck to only painting wood & fibreglass stocks. I do not want to screw this up.

Also the scope, same idea... It's a bushnell, black, semi-gloss :lol: finish.

Just primer, than paint, or ?? (yes I'll make sure to cover up the glass before painting :mrgreen: }

That would be all. Any quick info bits are much appriciated.

Thanks for your time,

Alex

Just recently painted my scope (similar) with OD... quick clean up (degrease) thes straight spraybomb with OD Krylon, same as stock, Of course a liberal coat of Matte Clear Coat !!

Good luck post pictures

Thanks for the scope idea. Now how about dem rings & bases... :lol:

Same idea, degrease, primer, paint?

When painting anything you are gonna want to have some sort of rough surface for your product to adhere to. Degrease, lightly blast, and you should be good. What product are you using? I would not blast them if you are just using spray paint, just because you are gettin a non-permanent finish, and maybe later on you may want the rings with the original finish. But degreasing and painting should be fine. But not knowing what product it is I can't tell you, check with the manufacturer for more info on prep.
