Just in case I ain't around to babysit for you guys in the next little bit (although you know I will). We lost one of the most ethical hunters and sportsman that Canada had on Thursday, my dad. Now I ain't one of them guys lookin for sympathy cause I have lots of friends running around here right now taking care of alot of stuff for me and the fam but I wanted you guys to know that this man did what I think all fathers should be doing still to this day, teaching the young ones whats right and whats wrong. This man had me running around the Island with the 410 shootin birds when I was 12 by myself because he instilled the values that should be taught to the young hunters, never shoot a grouse till it flushes, never shoot a duck on the pond and never pee into the wind!

Just wanted to say goodbye to Joe Sr in a proper way and his bunk will always be full with his memory.

so sorry to hear of another great teacher leaving us....im honored to be able to be here to you share all the wisdom this wise man has taught you to share with us..may he rest in peace

Sorry to hear about your loss. It sounds like he left a good and lasting impression on you, which says a lot for the man.

Thanks guys, will be going to the deer camp after the service with the rest of the guys from the camp and the good thing is that he will be laid to rest not a 1/2 km from the deer camp so I can still go have a draft with him every hunting season.

There was only one rule, you could get mad and swear your ass off at him at the hunting camp but you never EVER went to the house and sassed mom.

MadDog, sorry forr your loss, but you will meet again!
You Dad sounds like my father.
Maybe your old man will hook up withh mine and they will go shoot some grouse together in the Happy Hunting Grounds....

Joe,
Condolences and best wishes to you and your Mom during this hard time.
I'd say Joe Sr. did a pretty fine job of raising his boy and he must be proud looking down on you now.
Please give your Mom a big bear hug from all of us.

Best regards,
Noel, Christy, Hannah & Reid

Please accept my sincere condolences. I lost the best hunting partner a person could ever ask for when my Father died.
