One of our own...gone

Joe,

Please accept my deepest sympathies. You can always have the proud memories of an avid, ethical hunter you can pass on. Those memories will be with you for the rest of your life. There is nothing more righteous than someone passing on their wisdom and knowledge for the benefit of others.

Sorry Maddog, I'll be thinking of you and your loved ones this Christmas. Sounds like he has passed on a great legacy and was an example for all of us.

Sorry for your loss bud, and for the loss to the hunting community.

Fortuneatly he and his ethics live on in you.

Hey Joe ....

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. Esp hard at this time of year.

My father died two years ago after a long balttle with cancer. I don't think you ever stop missing them.

Hey Mad dog sorry to hear about your lost my heart goes out to you and your family .... may the many happy memories always be with you

Maddog,

It's hearing about people like your dad that inspire people like me. To try and be half the men they were, when teaching my son (1.5 yrs old) the ways of life. That one day, when he is your age, he has the same respect for life and land that you have.

Thank you for your post, and accept our prayers and condolences.

Well it was a hard service today but I stood strong, not shedding a tear, right up till my dads best huntin bud walked up to the coffin at the end of the day and pretty much shattered me after holding on so long. The deer camp was standing room only after the service and everyone that knew what hunting was all about was at the camp having a beer and a shot of Sambuca in honor of dad. Was a good time and made a final goodbye which made things alot easier to grasp seeing as how everyone that had anything to do with St. Joe deer was there having one for him.

Thanks for all your thoughts guys, he's a happy guy and will be there with me next year in my stand.

Hi Joe, My condolences to you and the rest of the family, it's always tough to lose your father, especially when he brought you into hunting, take care my friend.
