I want to buy an American Defence mount to mount a primary arms 1-8x24 scope on my stag 10. 1 know I need the mount with the 34mm rings, and quick release base, but that's it. There are a few mounts that are 34mm., but I don't know which of those I need. Can someone help me out.

I think we need a bit more info on what your intended use is. If the sight calls for a 34mm ring set then any 34 mm rings will do as Long as they are high enough to allow for use of the optic on the rifle.
Why exactly do you need the quick release? If you are going to use the optic from rifle to rifle, or want to store the rifle a certain way without the optic attached, ok that make sense, but Imo quick release is kind of gimmicky and just adds weight if one jsut wants quick release for the sake of having quick release. Again my opinion only.
American defence does make good rings, no doubt there, but just make sure that if you go with a different set of rings that they are well made and keep the site on zero. I would rather pay for a good set of rings then a ####ty set twice over. Let us know!

What I am concerned about is the height of the scope above the receiver. Not because I am so much worried about the scope clearance, but because I simply want the scope to be as low as possible, and still clear the rear sight attached to the rail. I want it at the optimum height to give me a good cheek weld on the stock.
Then there is the question of whether I need a mount with the rings extended or not. I need a mount that will give me the best possible adjustment for eye relief, so I am thinking extension, but do I need extension. I don't want to have to experiment with the various mounts.
There are mounts with 20 moa of elevation adjustment, and then there are ones with 0 moa. I'm thinking 0 moa, as I probably won't be taking 800 yard shoots, though I don't want to rule that out either. The scope itself only has a max magnification of 8x, which will limit me anyway.
Since this rifle is non restricted(so far) I want to use it for hunting, but also for target shooting, and possibly competition at some point. As far as quick release is concerned, I want to be able to go to iron sights when the urge takes hold. Just to keep up the skill. Well, that's it in a nutshell.
I have found that most cantilever mounts are a bit higher, I use a vortex precision mount and though its not too high I still need a slight cheek rise. I just used a piece of foam and tape and that worked for me. If you want a lower mount I would go with individual rings. They do have quick release rings in that regard as well. Just have to search a bit harder for them. I don't know where you live, but most gun shops will let you bring your rifle in and help you fit your scope and mount to you.
An alternative to iron sights could also be offset iron sights. Might not be what you are looking for, but they are an alternative. Out to 800 yards won't need an moa offset from the rings. And to be honest I wouldn't really want to take the rifle out past 800 anyway unless you are playing out at the range, again that's only my opinion. I like my cantilever mount and it works for me. So to conclude this I would take your rifle to a gun shop (a good one) and have them help you fit some rings. If was to do it all over again I would go with individual rings and mount lower, also saves some weight too! I find those cantilever mounts are heavy lol. Any other questions dude just shoot!
