Good day!

Hi All, I'm new to GunNutz, and fairly new to shooting (though not totally green). As per the title I am looking for someone who sells (or even just a manufacturer so I can find them here) one piece base AND rings for my Savage in 7mm Rem Mag (So a long action). Here's what I know so far:

-->DNZ Products out of North Carolina makes these in both a hunting variety and a tactical variety, the Game Reaper and Night Reaper respectively. Game reaper being my choice. They will not ship from their site to Canada.

-->Basspro.com (US site) carries these and will ship them to me (so far as I can tell without actually buying one) with a hefty little S/H charge.

--> Despite as much googling as I can handle, I can't seem to find another manufacturer of this type of base/ring combo for my gun, and I can't find anyone in Canada who carries the DNZ ones. Unsure as to imperfect search terms... But I've tried more than I can count.

So any info at all on these or a similar item would be much appreciated! Or if someone has a spare one kicking around... ;) I'm currently putting in for my EE access, so I'll be checking there once I can!

Also, I hope I picked the right forum to post in! Apologies if I did not.

Thanks in advance!

It would depend a bit on what the rifle is chambered in but if it not a super high-recoil chambering then I'd look at the Talley Lightweights. While not a one piece base, they are a one-piece ring/base combo that's super solid and affordable.

Well my rifle is chambered in 7mm Rem. Mag, I am assuming that is a higher recoil caliber... Though I'm a little green to make any thorough assessments. I've really only shot it and my bubba'd .303. (I didn't do it!)

Regardless I will be looking into those and finding out what I can. Thanks!

I was speaking more of big bores. I've run them on rifles all the way up to .338WM without issue. I've got a set on a 7RM that work fine.

Perfect, thank you sheephunter. I think these are what I will be getting... So long as I can figure out what offset I need. Talley's website doesn't list their sizing too well so I've got an email off to them. Hopefully they can be helpful. Again, I appreciate the info!

You would be really well served with the Talley Lightweights. Top notch gear. There is little to no need for a one piece base. If you have your heart set on DNZ you should call Darren at Prairie Gun Traders. Last time I was there he had some.

Thanks everyone for the helpful info! I decided on some Talley Lightweights. For my Savage long action I needed the extended variety. Quite hard to find, but I finally found them at Prophet River and with the expedited shipping I hope to see em soon!

I have them on my Stevens 200. My Burris scope fit but there wasn't much wiggle room. A buddy bought the same rifle but a cheap scope and it wouldn't fit in the Weaver rings he bought. In a panic I was going to jerk my Talleys to put on his rifle (it was actually a present from his wife). But even the Talley rings wouldn't allow me to mount his Rifleman scope. Luckily ATRS was able to get me an extended Weaver ring. Not his usual fare but 15 years of friendship buys you some latitude.
