One piece scope base for Weatherby Vanguard S2

I heard that Remington 700 scope bases fit on a Vanguard. Is that a fact?

I've tried it and it was not a 100% fit. EGW makes a base specifically for the Vanguard. You will be better off using that one.

2 piece 700 bases fit fine, one piece you will want to go with something specific for the Howa/Vanguard series...short or long action, not sure what you have.
EGW are good bases as mentioned, Warne, Leupold also make Picatinny bases for them.
