One powder for .243, .270, and .308

Thank you everyone for weighing in here.

I first posted this before COVID ... and did try and find some H4895 and Varget.

After attempting to find some at a few spots .. I ended up ordering some RL-15, RL-17 from Bullseye (on sale) this past winter.

I am still leaning towards picking up some H4895, Varget - if I can find some. Is anyone else experiencing some challenges finding certain powders now?

I still check in with Bullseye, Budgetshooter, Gundealer, SFCR, XReload, Accuracyplus, WilliamsArms, Epps ... and all are still out of H4895 and Varget.

I did pick up a bottle of IMR 4831 just to have ...

So I have full 1 pound bottles of RL-15, RL-17 and IMR 4831!


I really appreciate all the opinions offered here ... I do. I have never used Varget, but it sure sounds like a winner. I will have to grab some after I use up my existing stock ... and hopefully it will become more readily available.

I would suggest 4064. I have had good results in all three calibers with it. Mind you, I have had struggles finding good consistent groups with 130gr bullets out of the 270 but it was still shooting 1.5 MOA.
