Thanks Jamie. Just a quick correction: It's a 1.5-5x30SIR. They should be here on time for the match. Darren hasn't confirmed yet where the prize will fit into the categories, but I am sure someone will be very happy to receive it.

Darren: Jamie will be bringing the scope and oversized bolt knobs with him the day of the match. If the scopes haven't arrived yet (they should be shipping next week so they should be here on time), I will print up some sort of voucher for the winner to collect when they arrive.

More answers will be coming over the next few days.

Yes you will get a lunch.

No we will not give you the exact round count because we don't know how good or bad you shoot!!! I recommend carrying as many carbine and pistol mags as you can.

Scoring is simple, by time and by misses. Every miss is counted as 2.5 seconds.

Prizes are being donated by Allen Gun Works, SFRC and One Shot Tactical.

If the weather is good CQB Services said they might be on hand with toys!!!!!!

so, does that mean the targets have only one zone ? no inner and outer point zones, like in ipsc ?

or are the targets props... like the zombie shoots in pembroke the boys put up there...
would like some idea of what the match will be like to better decide on worth the trip on cold november day....
though, i usually like making things go bang regardless of what i'm shoot'n at (as long it's legal :D)

oh, how about holster types ... like thigh holsters or shoulder rigs, etc... ?
carbines on slings permited ... ?
or any other important details on what's permitted and expected...

Cheers,

Hit or miss. No zones, no procedures.

It won't be your average target so be prepared for anything.

Drop leg or belt, no shoulder rigs.

carbines on slings permited

You will have a hard time with your transitions if you don't have a sling.

or any other important details on what's permitted and expected

You are expected to show up ready to shoot, with the ability to carry enough ammo to make it through the course of fire.

If you have a jam and stand there with a blank look on your face, run out of ammo, loose an optic etc. then consider yourself dead, and you failed :p

You are also expected to show up and have fun, we are getting together to shoot.

Sorry for the delay on this guys, I've been quite busy and I'm pretty sure Simon has to.

I have considered putting the match off till the spring, and I am still considering it as a number of guys have cancelled due to work commitments.

That would be a shame. I have to say, though, that the spring would be a terrible time so far as I'm concerned, seeing how I'm going to be neck-deep in pre-deployment training at that point and there's no telling whether I'll be sleeping in my own bed from week to week...

Sh&t I hope you don't cancelled I just spent 2ks on guns this month so I can do this shoot. If you must cancel I won't lose any sleep over it. How many are going?
