"One Soldier - A Canadian Soldier's Fight Against The Islamic State."

I don't think he cared about death threats to himself. He likely would have welcomed any attempt. His concern was for his family.

As to why he wrote the book and went public, you'd have to ask him. I'm sure he'd have an answer for you. The fact that you would even ask the question speaks volumes about you. My guess is he wanted to shake us up in our complacency, isolated from the hell that goes on in countries plagued by ISIS.

We have a Prime minister whose response when asked why we pulled our CF-18s out of the Middle East was - "When we kill our enemies, they win." How's that for warm & fuzzy leftist Kumbaya thinking? We didn't even get invited to a conference of the allied nations as they had no respect for our "post national state", referring to T2 as "small potatoes".
Perhaps Hillier wanted to stop Islamic extremism over there before it becomes a problem here. Looking at "Eurabia" and the #### storm they are facing, that's not a bad idea.

If this guy was so worried about death threats, why did he write a book and do public interviews?
