Online Matches: Enter August Scores

Here is where you can enter your scores from the various matches (for rules on these matches go to the top of the rimfire page to the thread titled "Rules for Matches".).

And just for a bit of "background info": Unlike other postal matches where you have to mail the target to get it scored this is simpily based on the honour system and the shooter scores it. After this you simply post your results in this thread.

To enter this month's scores you need to shoot the target(s) in the month of July

Just a couple of "guidelines" to follow and you should be fine.

Please state the:

Which match you shot
Your score
Your screen name (i.e. cz452shooter)
Gun used
Scope used (or if it was open sights just state open sights)
Ammunition used

Here would be an example:

50 yard unlimited,

231-2x, cz452shooter,
Winchester 52B, Weaver T36
Eley club extra

Nice shooting Jack also (Is that a personal best?)!.

I have the July results posted now. I will be short of contact for the month of August as well (hunting, etc.)
 
Hmmm, my scores have been going Waaaayyyy down as of late. i think its time to try out some new ammunition.

In the winter I was cleaning this target most of the time with X counts usually in the 20's. Now I am not sure if it is the temperature or humidity but something is messing up. It could also be me.

My dad shot a score today that was a new personal best for him. Wooped my but ;)

Went to wholesale sports the other day and got some new ammo to try out (American eagle,Remington thunderbolts and Remington yellow jackets).I'm going to try them out today on the 50 yard unlimited and maybe the 100 yard unlimited I will post score's when i get back.
 
Nice shooting Grizzlyking :)

I find that for shooting off the bench a good target round (subsonic) is the best. If you could get some Lapua superclub, or another round like that I am sure you would do much better - at least in all my rimfires a round like Lapua SC works better than the high velocity and low dollar remington ammo.

+2 for subsonic target rounds. And Lapua super club especially, at 100yds you will see the difference.

Here is my 25m offhand, not the best one, haven't been shooting much lately.
Scored 157, Savage MkII with Simmons scope (4X power), nice weather with gusty winds ~10 km/h. CCI standard velocity ammo.

Membership card finally came for a local range so I managed to finally get out and shoot some paper! Not the greatest score ever posted but I was pretty happy with it. The wind was a little gusty and there were some really odd fliers. Had a 10 shot group that was .773" but without the one that grew wings was .445" Rifle is rather heavy to shoot off hand, started to get a bit of shake near the end lol BTW- The range has setups for 50m and 25m... no pins for yards so these scores are in meters... not sure how much of a difference it makes but thought I'd add that.

wow 183 is a good benchmark. Something to work on. I found getting anywhere close to mid-170 holes are too close for accurate count. Maybe we should consider shooting 2 pages with 4 bulls and 5 shot at each bull? I am talking 25m off hand fun match. Opinions?

I just got back from my hunting trip (didn't get anything but had a great time) and am hoping to enter some scores hopefully by the end of the month.

22lr that is an idea to have 4 bulls on one page. I will see what I can do but maybe it would be best just to print off 2 sheets. That way people like me don't accidentily aim for one bull and hit the one beside it ;)!
