Time for another month (or two in this case) of matches. Please note that I am combining December and January together as generally there are not as many scores turned in for these months.

Here is where you can enter your scores from the various matches (for rules on these matches go to the top of the rimfire page to the thread titled "Rules for Matches".).

And just for a bit of "background info": Unlike other postal matches where you have to mail the target to get it scored this is simpily based on the honour system and the shooter scores it. After this you simply post your results in this thread.

To enter this month's scores you need to shoot the target(s) in the month of December and January

Just a couple of "guidelines" to follow and you should be fine.

Please state the:

Which match you shot
Your score
Your screen name (i.e. cz452shooter)
Gun used
Scope used (or if it was open sights just state open sights)
Ammunition used

Here would be an example:

50 yard unlimited,

231-2x, cz452shooter,
Winchester 52B, Weaver T36
Eley club extra

Well I broke in a new barrel today and then shot 1 match before going home. I just used the cheap ammo I had and got a much improved score from my first attempt last month.

50 Meter Open
163
Manwithbeers
10/22, GM Barrel
Tasco 3 - 9 x 32
Federal Champion

Nothin wrong with that!

I had my 10/22 out today as well and for whatever reason just could not get it to shoot (or maybe it wasn't so much the gun as the nut behind it!) In any case here is my (best :() score

100 Yard Unlimited

250-1X - cz452shooter
Ruger 1022 - Gm Barrel
Bushnell 5-15 scope, homemade stock
Lapua Superclub

Hi Everyone...

It's been a long time... I got a new rifle... so I thought I'd try post some scores....

Prone
EBruder, 195
T/CR55 Benchmark, Bushnell Rimfire Scope
Lapua SC

3P
EBruder, 288 (P99, K97, S92)
T/CR55 Benchmark, Bushnell Rimfire Scope
Lapua SC

On first look, it looks like my Brno #4 is a bit more accurate... but I think it has alot to do with weight... this thing is very short and almost more difficult to hold really still when shooting prone... much nicer to shoot than the Brno when you are standing though!!

This is a pic of a 10 round group at 25yds on a rest (Don't worry, I shot the matches off hand). For a semi, right out of the box... I think it shoots exceptionally well!

Happy Holidays everyone...

Had the chance to go out and do some benchrest shooting at last after training very hard with my feinwerkbau for my olympic style position shooting. Was a breath of fresh air and a super nice day to be at the range!

and a....

282-9X - cz452shooter

Had a great time at the indoor range tonight. Got to try out a new supply of Eley Target Rifle and Lapua Standard Plus. The 10/22 work is coming along well.

20 Yard 3 Position

Manwithbeers
Ruger 10/22 GM Barrel, Revolution Stock
Tasco Varminter 6-24 AO

In before Febuary LOL

New barrel break in day at the range and cz452 didn't show up, mind you either did _shorty. It was 4 degrees with some aweful gusts of wind from all directions.

50 Meter Unlimited
215 1X
Anschutz 64 SBR
Wever T36, Cowan BR
Eley Target

I got better results later in the day, I finally adjusted the stock and trigger and shot way better. started the day out reaching for the trigger, I did manage to get 400 rounds down the new tube today though.

No schedualed range matches, just another saturday fun shoot for the two of us. S didn't do well today in the wind and hid her targets I was bound and determined to shoot at least on usbe with nothing less then an eight ring score between gusts. I ended up with four sevens and a six. waiting for the lapua circle X to arrive and the warmer temps.

We had wind up here in Campbell River too. I shot a 50m unlimited and the score was nothing great due to wind moving me into the 6's and 7's. I tried to compensate but that doesn't really work well. Doing 100m was pointless and I stopped at the sight in target.

The bright side of my day was introducing my only child of 9 to shooting for her first time!

She had fun, shot a few targets and did well. I guess now I'm going to the shop to pick up a little Savage Cub for her. Buying a gun for her is almost as cool as buying a gun for myself!
