Online Matches: Enter January Scores

Yah I looked at the website this morning and by 2 pm when I got to the range they where shooting, and it magically appeared on the site then oh well. I checked out a few outdoor ranges man they are getting paranoid about there memebers... they want references background checks DNA etc. I never did any of that at my club.

Here's my targets. I shot this at our local 100 yard match with Jordan and the rest of the bunch, and Jordan suggested I might as well post the score here too. So I disregarded the top left bull on the first target like the fun match rules here, and used the other 7 for scoring.

On that last bull it was the calmest of the whole day, and I actually had three shots go through one hole in the X ring, the left hole, woohoo!

Nice shooting Clayton! Your last set of targets was exceptionally good. And considering the winds which was probably 20-30kmh gusts you did really well.

For the scores though I think you got higher than 275. Each set of targets (4 and then we count the top left as a sighter so the 3 targets) count for a score so I think you got 292 and 287 with ??? X count.

I haven't got around to posting my scores yet - hopefully tomorrow - I will post pics as well ;)

Thanks msg.drew.

So far that has been my 4th best score at these local "precision scores". I have also got a 796, a 797 and a 799.

Here is the rig I am using. As you can see its fairly custom

I'm looking now at the score thinking, well, what was I thinking? haha. Zoned out there completely, heh. And I only listed one. *sigh*

edit - ah, I see what I did, haha. I disregarded the first target's top left bull, and then I subtracted the 25 points dropped on the other 7 bulls from 300, for 275, haha. Corrected it now, so I have two scores, both targets with the top left bull disregarded. Can't believe I did that, haha.

I've just got a bone-stock CZ 453 Varmint. All I've done to it is sand out the barrel channel a bit because the barrel was touching the wood. The rest in the picture is the old Caldwell 'The Rock' rest that I was using before. Now I have a Cowan rest, almost the same as in Jordan's pic. I opted for the mariner wheel spokes and the speed screw on mine. I'm still using that Caldwell front bag on it, and that Hoppe's suede rear bag. I think my backordered Protektor bags may have been forgotten by the store, because I think it's been about a year since I ordered, haha.

I picked up a ring adapter for my Leupold scope so that it would focus properly at 20 yards its much better but I just bought a VX-II 4-12 with AO, its in the mail...

with the fifty foot adapter ring I was able to shoot prone all inside the 9 ring or better which was nice for a change since I could actually see where the bullets where going... when I was scoring I had a hard time counting because so many bullets went through the same 3 shot group holes.
