Here is where you can enter your scores from the various matches (for rules on these matches go to the top of the rimfire page to the thread titled "Rules for Matches".).

And just for a bit of "background info": Unlike other postal matches where you have to mail the target to get it scored this is simpily based on the honour system and the shooter scores it. After this you simply post your results in this thread.

To enter this month's scores you need to shoot the target(s) in the month of October

Just a couple of "guidelines" to follow and you should be fine.

Please state the:

Which match you shot
Your score
Your screen name (i.e. cz452shooter)
Gun used
Scope used (or if it was open sights just state open sights)
Ammunition used

Here would be an example:

50 yard unlimited,

231-2x, cz452shooter,
Winchester 52B, Weaver T36
Eley club extra

Please also note that I have also added 2 additional three position type matches to shoot. We will try them out and see if they work out allright for the month of October and if I can get a couple of shooters to shoot them I will continue to rum them!

Scar....

Nice shooting! My Brno #4 likes the Federal Champion from Canadian Tire for bulk packs... it also likes CCI mini mags, and several of the Eley and Lapua offerings... Hope this helps your selection...

Nice to see some new shooters in the matches... welcome!

I have grouped this gun with about 30 brands of ammo. It really liked the remington game loads for hollowpoints but these don't seem as consistant as the used to be, too bad I have 8000 of them to use up. I have written down what target ammo shoots best, have to look it up and buy some when I get a chance. I think it's Federal EPS made by eley or something like that.

Six Dollar Cheek Pad

Well, I feel kinda guilty for supporting slave labour in Asia... My scope was too high to get decent alignment, so I bought a six dollar cheek pad from EBay (Came from China)... cost me a total of $12 to get it to my door...

It was worth it!

Great shooting EB!! Thats one heck of a prone score  :) (and your 3p score aint to shabby either ;))

Scar, the ammo you are refferring to is probably Eley Match EPS (black box). There is also a variation put out by remington (also EPS I believe).

ebruder - I know what you mean about getting tired, them #4's are heavy guns.

Learned an important lesson today

So, I got out again today to try the 3P match... only this time, I shot it using the peep sights that came with the rifle...

I shot prone first, and the front aperature that I normally use to shoot SFC targets was way too small... this is the lesson! I didn't shoot it very well because I didn't get a proper sight picture... So I switched out the aperature for a bigger one for the kneeling and standing relays... I got a better kneeling score than my prone!

In any event...

Nice shooting guys!

EB: Good point. I find it my aperature is too small for the type of shooting I am doing that it only degrades my score. I am waiting for that perfect sight picture, and then I end up waiting too long and when I shoot the shot goes way off. If i use a slightly larger aperature I take when it is reasonably good and my score is generally better. The only exception would be off the bench or in prone with shooting jacket/sling.
