You gotta remember in his time, a 2.5 MOA rifle was pretty darn accurate. Even Jack O'Connor thought a 2MOA rifle was great.

I've always thought the best hunting rifle was one that you could confidently carry and put one in the kill zone from a supported field position.

But that hasn't ever stopped me from looking for sub MOA groups.....which is completely irrelevant in a rifle intended for shooting game in a "regular" 0-400 yard hunting scenario. :)
