ONT New restricted transfer wait times??

If I am in Saskatchewan and purchase a used pistol from someone in Ontario, is it the ONT or SK office that does it? As in, do I get the fast SK office or the slow ONT office?

Saskatchewan approves it.

More likely someone grabbed from the wrong end of the stack. Until it starts happening consistently, there is no point getting excited.

I had two within a week approved in less than 24 hours.

The Ombudsman opened a file on CFO transfer-time practices , after repeated complaints.

whatever has happened...whether it is the "one day all hands on deck to do transfers", or an ombudsman file being opened..it is working....i ordered an AR15 stripped lower from BC on wed night, and received a notice of shipment friday afternoon....so a hair under 2 days.
a welcome change from the 4 weeks it took back in feb for my last AR stripped lower

Keep in mind private transfers are still taking time. The dealers started complaining about lost sales so this has been the priority. Private sales are taking way longer

But...my earlier transfer was a private sale. However, I am presently at a weeks wait for a current private transfer.

I was waiting up to 5 weeks for a transfer, now the advantage is 24 hours, I have had them back with in the hour this past week as well, customer would get get home, and turn around and come back. I am sure they were not complaining about the trip straight back though.

That part makes no difference unfortunately. I use the transfer notification as a registration certificate.i called Ontario cfo and was told the transfer notification acts as a temporary reg. cert. Call and check but use a call recorder so everything has been recorded. Never trust no one, acr call recorder.
