Purchased my first restricted this week. Transfer initiated 27 Oct 2020, called right away to confirm transfer. Received confirmation two days later, 29 Oct 2020.
Took possession yesterday! Not bad at all!

MB to Ontario transfer initiated today. Let’s see how quick this is. My record with the Ontario CFO was 2 hours.

I think people are starting to buy handguns en masses in Ontario again. Private transfer initiated from seller in Quebec nov. 13th, 2020, with myself confirming the transfer in Ontario the same day. Still waiting as of today, Nov. 20th, 2020.

Update: just recieved transfer notification today at 10:46am. Grand total of 11 days, weekends included.

So I just order a restricted Dec 5. How does the CFO contact me with the approval. Should I call in to ask if they received the request from the Seller (Firearms store).

I'm thinking because it is only the second one I have purchased and the first was 5 years ago it will probably take a few months.

I called in to complete the transfer Dec 1st and am still waiting for approval.

When I received notification of my purchase from the seller (company) no place did it say I should contact the RCMP. On a gut instinct I decided to call. Turns out if you want your approval emailed to you , then you must call in.
The dealer should have told me that in my opinion. Anyways the CFO office said it is being looked at (not sure what that means) so hopefully before Jan.

Today is the 8th working day for my transfer, hopefully it can be approved. Never being so excited in a long time haha
