Ontario ***2016*** deer (rifle) season

Looking ahead, quick question. I can't remember from previous years, but does the rifle season always open on the first Monday of November? Next year November 1st is a Tuesday, and the first Monday of the month is November 7th.
Do you guys think the season will run from
Oct.31 - Nov. 13
OR
Nov. 7 - 21
My bet is on the first choice, but I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Just looked it up, based on past dates. It looks like it will be Nov 7th -20th, just like in 2011. First Monday of November.
2011 it was Nov 7 - 20
2012 it was Nov 5 - 18
2013 it was Nov 4 - 17

Are controlled hunt starts on the 30th of November tp the 6th of December. So it is not always the first Monday of the month. Dutch

Yeah, I think I'll assume it will be opening on the 7th. I think it will be beneficial as well. Even though we saw lots of deer this year, it was a little warm...

Although of the three bucks I saw that were shot in the first week near Peterborough, all stunk like hell and they were already in the rut.

Looks like they haven't revisited the moose hunt dates, I guess they will still let you orphan a calf so a cow tag can be filled.

Only the license fees change ..... used to be $10.00 for a deer/bear or deer/moose license..... buck, doe or fawn/bull cow or calf.

From what I read to the person who mentioned moose they are looking at adding a day to the hunt to make it 7 days. This will be my first season hunting and im a land owner in wmu 48 I would be more than willing to trade some hint time on my land for a little mentor ship .. Pm me or something ontario hunters!

I don't know, I kind of like this global warming thing.

Not going to make much difference for my Sept 1 start.

I dont think difference in cooler temps. Will be significant between Nov.1 and 7th.
This year it was a warm hunting days and lots of sunny days that ended with rain...
