Ontario Action Shooting!

Any specific qualifications required?

No specific qualifications are required however while we welcome and embrace new shooters to the sport and assist them in any way possible we do not recommend someone that is new to firearms participate. It is highly recommended that you are familiar with the operation of your firearm and equipment.

Please take a moment to pop over to our website where you can review all the rules.

Really hope I can get signed up for this. Got the bug after shooting the #### cancer charity match at guelph this fall.

Glad you had a great time - the family is eternally grateful that so many people that didn't know them came from so far away to help. We do intend to carry on with annual charity shoots in the fall, likely for a different family in need each year. Rest assured they'll never conflict with OAS shoots!

Any specific qualifications required?

It would probably be a good idea to have a holster qualification of some sort.

Although you obviously won't be drawing a shotgun from a holster;
A lot of the safety procedures and range commands will be exactly the same as what would be taught in the average holster course.

The September 30th date for EESA conflicts with a major US shotgun match many of the league shooters will be attending, so that date will not be used. Currently exploring other options, but likely to be the 16th of September instead. Once it's been approved by the club we will mark the date as confirmed.
