Ok, so here's the deal,
I live in ottawa, and I'm going to be a member at the EOSC early May. I plan on having restricted firearms. It's about a 40 min drive from my home to the range, and this brings up some important ATT related questions from this eager noob!
Question 1; How tight do I have to be with regards to the rout I take to get to the gun club.
The scenario migh be that I'm leaving my place on a Saturday morning to head to the range, and I want to take a friend with me. Do I have to get him or her to meet me along the most direct rout to the range? I would hope that I could take a slight detour and pick up my friend at his/her home.
Furthermore, if I want to stop and buy ammo along the way, is it frowned appon to detour and stop at a local sporting goods store to pick up supplies?
I previously asked on CGN if I was able to leave my restricted guns in my car at work so I could go right from there to the range in the afternoon, but the majority of people said that was a no no.... That really stinks, because it will take away from my time at the range on weekdays.
Question 2; Does the ATT mention what sort of vehicle you will be transporting your guns in?
For example, if my friend also has restricted firearms and is a member at the same club, could I pick him up and carpool to the range? This would assume that there were no conflicts regarding the first question. I thought it might be a good way to meet people who are also members at the range, as I could post up on the local forum that I'm headed out on a specific date, and share my car with some people. That said, I don't know how the ATT would work in this instance. I'm hoping it would be ok?
For those familiar with Ottawa, I live near the carling exit/on ramp of the 417.... Carpool???
Anyhow, thanks for reading, and know that I appreciate any input!
