Hey guys,

I'm in the military and I'm going to Borden this april since I'm changing trade and I should be there for a while. I was wondering if there were any outfitters to hunt Black Bear or even if any of you guys had a spot I could use I'd be willing to pay!

Welcome.

We have an over abundance of bears anywhere north of Simcoe County... if you need an outfitter there are lots of them, but if you start looking at Crown land in cottage country and set out a little bit of bait you should get a shooting opportunity.

The Dunchurch - Parry Sound area is close and flooded with bears, and the locals have a hate on for them (who wouldn't when they are everywhere). Permission to hunt is easy to obtain for bears in my experience.

If you are looking for hunting opportunities and don't want to pay a lot of money, start there.

I am a newb thinkin about tryin for a bear near my GF's cottage in the Perry sound area. As far as I can tell her cottage is surrounded by crown land and there is lots of bears around. I am planning on tryin to set up a couple bait sites during the summer to get them to come around. I wouldnt mind someone experienced along for the trip.
