Ontario Black Badge Courses

Was looking at advance payment as well, like the no show idea too thanks Boss:)

Anytime. After two out of eight people showed up for one course, we had to do something.

Excerpt from our course announcement email:

Hi!
This email is directed to you because you have expressed interest in IPSC shooting or might know someone who does.
The next IPSC Canada Black Badge course is scheduled for ###xx at the Atlantic Marksmen Association in Dartmouth, NS.

Registration must be sent via check or money order to IPSC NS, PO Box 51032 RPO Rockingham Ridge Halifax, NS B3M 4R8. (Make it out to IPSC NS)

Pre-Registration is mandatory and closes ###x since I have to get the students package to the participants before the class.

You are registered when your payment is received.

Please fill out the attached registration form and mail it in with your entry fee.
Please contact myself - Sean Hansen for any questions regarding the class, but please read this email completely before doing so, it answers 90% of all questions we get.
schansen@eastlink.ca - 455-5483 - days.
Note that interest in the black badge is high these days and this class will be limited to the first **10** participants that send in their fee. Anyone past that will definitely receive a refund and be put on the wait list for the next course.

<new item>
This course is designed for the sole purpose of IPSC shooting. It is put on by dedicated volunteers that are looking for new shooters that want to shoot IPSC; if you are not looking to shoot IPSC competitions, please consider another form of shooting training instead.

Again, Pre-registration is mandatory.

If your club is interested in finding out more about hosting an IPSC section, please contact me.
Thanks.

We just started doing BB courses at Crumlin. Ron Maloy comes in and we have 4 people ready to go. We also collect money up front to make sure Ron doesn't come to London and waste his time. Right now, we are giving our club members first crack at the BB course, in the event of someone needing to drop out i will put a post up here to see if we can fill the spot. we have enough people signed up right now for 4 classes, since we are a new club to IPSC we are getting a lot of interest from our existing membership.

The only reason right now why we are limiting the course to 4 people because the course is being held inside in our downstairs range. Not so big and the air system is crap (we are working on it).

This is one of the things i hear from people trying to get there BB that they sign up on the IPSC waiting list for what to get bypass :bsFlag:

I must clarify that what most call waiting list is nothing more but notification about courses posted on IPSC Ontario calendar (the IPSC Ontario web site actually doesn't call it waiting list either). So, if course is not posted to the calendar (as it happen with several courses this year), there will be no notification to the list. Also, as far as I know BB coordinator does not assume signup order, nor guarantee a slot at the course.

People get passed on to the instructor in the order they reply to the alert Euxx.
If a club can fill a course in house, good on them, makes it easier for the instructor in a lot of cases.
