Ontario black bear baiting tips. UPDATE

I wouldnt move your bait quite yet. We have had baits sit for 2-3 weeks without them being hit. We always use shaker barrels, chained to a tree so the bears cant roll them away. We usually pop popcorn in a turkey fryer, then after made pour some molasses over the popcorn and stir it in. Has worked wonders. Once you have a bear or bears coming in during daylight, climb up into that stand and have some fun. I find bears very easy to pattern. For us the most consistent time is from 2-3 hrs before dark until dark.

You're kidding right???

I will get right on that, first I have to buy a pair of short shorts, knee high white sweat socks and some lime green Crocs, then I have to snap a pair of horn-rimmed glasses in half and tape them back together at the bridge of the nose with duct tape, then I have to find some zinc ointment for my nose and ears... then once I am fully geared up for metal detecting, I might get out there.

Laugh2Laugh2 Camo Crocs are available during hunting season.

Thanks. I ended up with three coming in regularly. I got one a couple days ago.

Ask a local donut shop for their day olds that they throw out. Bears love the sweet ones. Can't beat free.
