Great news for a newbie just getting started! I wonder if we would be doing him/her a favour by making application under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms for denial of expedient due process? Or simply writing our MP's about the delay in processing... or simply, with all due respect, writing him/her to state our disappointment in the delay in processing of transfers.
As an aside, perhaps the suggestion of a reduction in paperwork might be appropriate; i.e. in the granting of long term ATT's good for all license gun ranges and border points throughout the province.
Either way it is a beurocrat's dream come true... constituents writing in to complain that they don't have sufficient staff or tools to perform their task in a reasonable amount of time, with a comparison to how quickly requests are being handled in the other provinces (empirical data). It is a kingdom builder!
Now's our chance to be hero's for our CFO... write to demand more funding for him.
Does this make any sense to you guys or am I off base here?

The Ontario CFO is a minion of the Ontario Lieberal government. They are not our friend. While some of them are good people, just "doing their job," its their job that needs to be eliminated.
If you're going to write anyone, write your local MP and MPP and ask them to stop this fanatical/ideological waste of money by streamlining the process and eliminating the CFO. Plough the money back into healthcare etc.

Bought a couple of toys from Ellwood Epps in orilia 4 weeks ago still nothing. Called CFO every week and still nothing. My friend bought from them by calling two weeks ago and already has the ATT. I cant understand what is going on. They probably have some prefrences or something. Also if Ellwood is talking to the right people in CFO they get what they want quickly. I guess that I should move back to Russia things are moving much quicker over there then over in this country. Before you know it we will have a Staline running our govrenment and belive me that will be the end of us all.

i did not like the fact that there answering machines have been full for 3 weeks. I could not even leave a message. I did finally get through and there first question was have you been waiting for at least 4 weeks. " hum... how about 9 weeks!" ...oh yah its approved you will see it in the mail in a week. " can you fax it?" no......click.

Well, I just called the Ontario CFO today and a transfer started just over 4 weeks ago has yet to be looked at. The person I talked said they have over a 5 week backlog but gave no explanation... Oh well so much for having my Christmas gift before Christmas.
