Ontario CFO Backlog

well the unofficial word is they are trying to make a point that they are understaffed underpaid, awwwwww poor fellas.:(

nothing like holding peoples possessions hostage to get more dough

But the rest of the country is properly staffed??
Hmmm... wonder who we have to ask to get their asses in gear.

Not to rub it in (well maybe a little) but I started a restricted transfer last Monday and had the paper transfer in my hand that Friday. Western transfers rock.

My neighbour didn't get his ATT since August (backlog...), he's going for the record!!! He doesn't care so far since he is hunting, but letter would go to Harper and Day after new year.... "I'm waiting for ATT since August last year" sounds really bad....

I've waited from 3 days to 5 weeks for transfers. I'm sorry to hear about the current backlog as I started a transfer on a handgun for my brother-in-law in late November and it's doubtful he will have it by Christmas.:(

If I live in ON and buy a gun from a store in BC, AB, etc. it still goes through ON CFO right?

I'm 99% sure but had to ask since my last 2 transfers have gone thru in a couple of days :) (last one was in June)

The right approach is to phone or write them them and point out if they did 5 year ATT's good for gun shops, gun shows and border crossings as well as ranges their workload would be greatly reduced. Support DEMENTED's crusade.
