buying a deer tag allows you to shoot a buck anywhere in ontario with a bow while an antlerless tag allows you to use a bow to shoot an antlerless deer in that specific WMU only.

then you apply for the controlled tag which permits you to use a firearm during the controlled hunt in a specific WMU.


the initial deer tag you bought dictates whether you can shoot a buck or doe during the controlled hunt.

The controlled hunt val tag dictates what you can shoot during the controlled hunt not the original.

Got mine for 81A december.


I know of 4 guys that didn't get drawn for 81b for nov! Only second time in 23 years. They are bow hunters this year lol

Success in 92b and have an additional doe tag for week 1.

Got mine for controlled shotgun in 80. Anterless or antlered.

First season out, so I'll be in that tree stand almost every day for the week.
