Ontario Deer-What Rifle/Scope this Year?

Ruger 77/44 as I did for the last 3 years

270 win rem 700 for field shooting

308 win 70 for back up.

All scoped with gold rings.

My good ol ' Canadian made 1943 No4Mkl* Lee Enfield ...proven the best by the best .
Loaded up with Winchester CXP3 - 180gr ammo , nothing , short of a dinosaur is going to get past.

Gonna try rifle for deer. Purchased a WIN 100 in 308 for the occasion

A great rifle. My dad has one and all his deer have been shot with it. I bought one also and it will be accompanying me this year along with my Savage .270 with 3-9 Bushnell.

Ithaca 37 in 16 Gauge with slugs is the plan...though I might switch to my Husky 9.3x57 if things get desperate later in the season.

This year am bringing:
- Marlin XLR 30-30 w/ Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x 40mm (my primary)
- Savage AXis XP Camo .308 Win w/ Bushnell Elite Bone Collector 3-9X 40mm DOA (back-up or second if I'm lucky enough to go for a second harvest)
- T/C Icon .308 Win w/ Leupold VX 4-12X 40mm (back-up to the back-up as its the heaviest)

main rifle will be a Sorenson built, gaillard barrelled, 700remington in .280, with a minox ZA5 3-15X42. going out to the range to shoot it for the first time tommorow

and my backup/thick bush gun will be my ruger compact, .260rem with a weatherby 2-7x34 scope. 120gr tsx
