Man, do I ever miss Northern Ontario... I'm a Southerner (again) now but still want to spend time hunting down here. I was looking into hunting on the GRCA lands, and the permits seem a little expensive to me, but it is what it is. I'm wondering if anyone has hunted the GRCA lands and can tell me what their experience was like (I don't need to know your spots). I'll probably check out Luther Marsh for small game, but I'm wondering if the miscellaneous spots are worth the fee for spring turkey and/or fall small game etc. It seems dumb to pay to access public land, but other than knocking on doors, that's what we have down here.

Any insights are appreciated.

Wow, was curious how much it was. I remember paying 45 bucks to hunt whatever on all their properties in the early 2000's. I drive by daily some of the property by Belwood lake. Rarely do I see any cars. I thought 45 was to expensive and never enjoyed it. I save my money a do a trip north.

First year hunter and gun owner here. I looked up the cost as well for Conestogo and couldn't believe it was $175! On top of small game, migratory stamp and OFAH membership. So I ended up with iHunter app and will be checking out other public lands that are free and hope for the best. Knocked on a few doors and so far no luck on hunting permission. May get the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority pass next year as it's not much farther from me than GRCA. It's alot more reasonable of a fee.
