Sold a 44mag to a guy on friday, he was approved and papered and on his way in 2 hours.
I've had good luck too.
Private sale, seller/buyer share the same CFO: one day.
Had the 'Postal ATT' two days after - ONLY because I waited that long to inquire about the transfer.
It's a crappy system all together, but at least the AB-NWT/CFO is timely on stuff.

But isn't it your God given right to own firearms in Alberta? Your Province rocks!
I'm from Winnipeg, MB and i just bought a CZ 75 Tactical Sport from Gunnar at Armco and A Dark 40 from Ontario and Both transfers and Long term ATT's were approved within 1 hour, the CZ she had just gotten the transfer from Gunnar and approved it right there on the phone with me.
The Ontario government must really want you guys not to own firearms.
