ontario hunter opinions pls...

Has anybody considered the noise factor if they try and use a .270 for varmint hunting in southern Ontario? In my area trying to use one would result in someone calling in the police.

I use to shoot .270 for coyotes in the Kitchener area....no more issues than the guys with .223's biggest complaint is that it is a long action caliber. Was a bit more difficult to work the bolt efficiently and short actions.....blew up coyotes real good!
 
If your not doing anything illegal, you have nothing to worry about. They may come once to check in on you and that's it. Also if your hunting it's not gonna be an hour long range session. It's going to be one, maybe two shots at a time.
