Ontario Hunting Regulations

Or has a printer.

You'd think with all the advertising they put in it, they could pay for the publication. Leave it to the Gov. to mismanage that too.

I'm not trying to kick up a stink, but Im wondering why anyone would need to carry a copy with them. It's not like season start/finish dates or bag limits change every day so its as easy as taking a look before you head out hunting.

I can definitely see the need for a copy of fishing regulations, but there are far more details we need to know as there are tons of exceptions and its much easier to get mixed up.

in our camp....a few copys are kicking around...its nice to have a referral when yapping around the fire blabbering of other hunting areas you are not familiar with....
they work great in outhouse for library material....or as emergency chit tickets

Someone mentioned they went to their Service Ontario centre for a copy of the regs and that's ok , if they haven't taken your Service Ontario centre

I was at CTC today and none to be found but they had lots of booklets on where to hunt/ fish information this year in Quebec. Tags are out sourced to USA so why not places to hunt in Quebec. Way to go Ontario MNR?

I emailed the Minister when I first came across this thread and this is the response I received:

Thank you for your email of May 6, 2013. I am pleased to respond.

The Ministry of Natural Resources has been reducing the print run of the Ontario Hunting Regulations Summary for the last three years to reduce the environmental impact of this publication.

In 2013, the ministry decided to further reduce the print run to help support the government's fiscal plan to address the deficit and has made efforts to have some printed copies of the summary available across the province.

If you are unable to access a hard copy of the hunting regulation summary or cannot view it online at ontario.ca/hunting, you can email the Outdoors Card Centre at outdoorscard.mnr@ontario.ca or you can call toll free phone at 1-800-387-7011 and request a limited number of pages of the summary be printed. The Ministry will either email or mail the information to your address.

The Ministry will be sending a small number of hunting summaries to outside private issuers and ServiceOntario centres across the province beginning May 15, should you still require a hard copy.

If you would like to discuss the printing of the hunting summary further, please contact Jeff Standaert, Senior Marketing Coordinator, (705) 755-1902.

Sincerely,

Michael J. Morencie
