Ontario MNR raising coyotes?

Dumbest thing I've ever heard......just like they released fishers to control porcupines.

except that they actually did re-introduce fishers. Not so much to control porcupines but to bring back a fur bearer that had been all but wiped out in most of the province. Back in the 70's, it was well documented and publicized by the MNR. Most of the animals were released in places like Haiiburton, Muskoka, Parry Sound, Manitoulin etc. I remember well from the trappers conventions in North Bay back then all of the updates on the progress being made that the MNR were giving us

Once again Common sense is NOT common.
Is MNR also breeding flies?

Since they are already anny probing why not just stick the chip up the ...
Its true, they also anally probe hunters in their sleep and implant tracking chips in your neck...

He said there is a facility where they keep them to release into the areas where there is high deer mortality due to overpopulation.

the MNR doesn't have the budget to do proper enforcement or population counts.. you think they would have the money
to raise and release yotes???

Lolololol, so true. I cant imagine a cage full of yotes. Then someone has to go in and grab a few for release.

Does your buddy mean the 15 acre wolf pen in Haliburton?
Those are captive wolf's not coyotes and not a breeding program for wild release.

Fisher.... Now there's an animal with a gigantic attitude problem!! In a stand-off between a Wolverine, a Fisher and a Grizzly; I'm pretty certain the Grizzly would be in last place....but first place?? I dont know!

Now Cougars yeah they raise them and introduce them all over Ontario. ;) Usually they drop them from helicopters as they fly by at night under the cover of darkness.

Those old broads are tough. Landing in the trees after a night jump from a helo. Not many paratroopers like insertions like that.
