Ontario Moose Licenses now available

Ontario Moose licenses are now available. Just picked mine up.
If I remember correctly, we were told last year that the draw applications had to be in earlier, both for moose and deer this year.
Anyone remember how much earlier?

Regs are saying June 1st, isn't that later than usual for draw deadlines on moose?

Not 100% sure but I believe the only draw deadline that will be earlier is the antlerless deer.

I believe its the end of may for moose and the end of june for antlerless deer.

Moose was normally May 30th and Deer was July 31st. MNR is probably just standardizing the 2 deadlines.

PS. Telephone system for moose/deer tags doesn't open until April 22

Yep, it's usually a May 29 deadline for moose, but this year it's June 1

The important dates section (Page 2) says for DEER

Antlerless deer validation tag draw deadline..............................................................................................................................June 30

and then for MOOSE:

Moose validation tag draw deadline..............................................................................................................................................June 1

The moose draw deadline is always the last day of May, unless that day falls on a weekend (like this year). In that case it is moved to the first Monday in June.
