Ontario Moose Tags,Who Got Em

I got a bull tag for the rifle season in 21A. I've never hunted there, just put in 21A as my second choice because of the high number of tags given out. After that, I found out that the MNR doesn't want a high Moose population there in favour of Caribou on the premise of low Moose populations will mean low wolf populations and better odds for Caribou. Well, I've got to look over google earth and topo maps now to narrow down an area to wander around this fall. If anyone has some suggestions, I'll listen, but so far I'm going solo so I won't be going too deep into the bush unless it's by canoe down some waterway.

Quick question, i am from Alberta and have never heard of groups getting tags.

A individual in Alberta may get a tag but even if he is at a hunt camp with other people the individual with the tag is the only one allowed to hunt the species for that tag.

Yes basically you have one guy with the tag in his name and everyone in the group hunts that tag. So if I shoot a bull I have to make sure the guy with the tag is close to seal the animal.

Received an individual bull tag in the mail yesterday, August 1st, for Ontario WMU 1C. That makes 14 years in a row for a tag and hopefully bull # 13! I have already started packing for the trip!
