What about Lock-Time guys... do you think maybe that some of your misses could be attributed to the longer lock time with Black powder firearms?
I wonder if many of the new B/P hunters practice with their firearms off hand. The reason I bring this up is that many just shoot their rifles from a bench to sight them in then go hunting. Even the most accomplished shooters among us do things habitually when shooting and this is not a good idea with B/P firearms.
Very few guys I know practice with their in-lines off hand and I have seen many misses that were user error and it was simply a case of not enough follow through to allow for the longer Lock-Time!
It is very easy to drop or pull a shot with even the fastest In-lines if you are not practiced and aware of the longer lock time.
