Ontario Outdoors card

Has anyone renewed their card lately? I when to do it online like I did three years ago and it would only renew for one year. Did something change or was I doing something wrong? I did not renew, will call and find out what is going on tomorrow . Just wondered if anyone ran into the same thing.

I tried online and it was very unclear as to whether I was renewing my card or just buying a 1 year license, so I bailed and did it by telephone. Thought when I hung up though that I have no paper OC or proof of renewal and probably won't get my new card until mid-late January. Both the web and phone systems are crap, but I've come to expect no less from our government. The fact that an out of country service provider was chosen is a whole other topic I'd rant about if asked.

They say you can renew at any license vendor, so in hindsight I think I should have just gone to CT and done that.
 
I did mine yesterday online three year for small game and three year for fishing as well. Just keep continuing through the site you'll get there nothing is final until you provide your credit card at the end.....
 
I renewed mine last year online with a 3yr small game and a 3yr conservation fishing. I printed out the E-license (valid for 3yrs) and received the outdoor card in the mail. I leave the E-license in my pouch holding all my maps and hunting seals ect... just in case I loose my wallet with the outdoor card in it.
 
I renewed online, the website options are awkward, but it was a quick process. Just know that not all of your licence options come up at the same time on one page... first, click on "renew outdoors card", then on the next page, click on "choose licence and continue shopping," select your next licence purchase (3 year fishing), then again on the next page click on "choose licence and continue shopping", select your next licence (3 year small game), then on the next page select "check out."

Note; the website will tell you at the beginning that you "MUST" have a compatable printer... you DO NOT need a compatable printer. After purchase there is the option to "Save" the licence purchased... you will then have a downloaded copy that can be printed later at your convenience.

Just renewed mine online this AM.
I needed a new card and added the 3 year small game which will be on the plastic when it arrives.
Printed out a paper e-license until it arrives.
Had no issues it was simple.

PS , as mentioned above you have to add the new Outdoors Card to the cart before you get to see and add the other licences.

I did mine yesterday as well and it does look like it's a 1 year renewal until you put in the cart. After you look in the cart it shows as a 3 year renewal. You also have to put the small games and fishing license in the cart as well if you want those. You can verify if it's all correct before checking out.
Yep, just like most other things from the Ontario MNR, very confusing and hard to figure out.
 
I renewed online without an issue last fall using the procedure Hoytcanon posted. You have to make sure you select licenses for 2017 (it might say 'next year') or it will only show the one year licenses which expire at the end of this year.
 
I always get the 3 year small game and fishing with mine and I know I did it online last time and I think the time before that. Mine expires this year (like 2-1/2 weeks from now) so I will be doing it very soon. I will try to remember to take screen shots as I go and report back to this thread.

PS. I hate that 'cart' metaphor. I hate shopping carts and trying to navigate through aisles plugged with carts at CTC. It used to be a manly store and there were no carts. I don't go there much anymore. :)

I just received mine in the mail today after ordering online. There was no option for Turkey so I just assumed it would be included again and indicated with a T as per previous years.

There's no T on the new outdoors card. Is this due to the changes in Ontario for turkey hunting? Did anyone else with a turkey license renew theirs yet?

I renewed in January 7th of this year and mine has a T next to H1.

Sounds reasonable since there will be no reason to have the T designation any longer. Also, this sure is going to make the turkey woods a bit more crowded...
 
I tried to renew my I also had a problem because I'm over 65 and do not need a fishing licence BUT it would not let me renew with getting it. Nice job on the web page NOT!
