Ontario Purchasing Questions

If you buy online and mention a club you're thinking about joining you should have a sweet, sweet new firearm show up at your doorstep in no time.

Hands down, need to be part of a club or a collector. this came from the cfc today when i called, they said they wouldnt approve my transfers till i had a membership number
The person you spoke to likely had no clue what he/she was talking about. I bought my first two handguns without belonging to a club. All you need to say is that you intend to use the gun for target shooting and name the club you will *likely* join. Of course, you can always change your mind later and join a different club.

see thats what i thought too, but the lady on the phone said i need to be a member and so did wolverin supplies.

what if you dont join a club after or you join and decide later to cancel membership. do you have to forfeit your handguns?

i just dont wwant to shell out the cash and then have the CFO deny the sale and im out money. i plan on joining the oshawa club anyways but i know it will take some time and i have a few deals lined up and dont want to miss out

You'll have problems transferring restricted guns under your name
if you don't belong to a gun club.

You can say you belong to "so and so" club, but if they check
you are done.

Be patient, join the club. Try different guns before you decide
on the one for YOU.
