For those that have not attended one of these before,there are classes which allow you to compete within your own group.
In particular I mention the "Factory class" and "Custom Class" .It is generally shot off a benched front rest but can also be shot off a pod on the bench if you don't have all the gear.
Listowel match this weekend would be a great way to introduce yourself to this sport.
Hope to see some of you there.

Initially I had some last minute trouble finding the location of the Listowel Rifle and Revolver Club but NormB came up with directions. For those who may want to check out future competitions at this fine facility here are simplified directions from Highway 86 in Listowel.
From the Tee intersection of Highway 23 (also known as Mitchell Rd.) in Listowel, head north west on Highway 86. Turn right at Road 165 (paved) and head NE for about half a kilometer. It will be on your left.
Despite the threat of rain, it turned out to be a great day. This was my first time at this range and the match was a great success. It was well organized and hosted by friendly and helpful volunteers. I got to meet some new friends and trade information on everything benchrest. Oh, and by the way I did not see ONT0001 there?
Elmira is coming up and it would be helpful if someone could point us newbies in the right direction for this and the other locations on the schedule.

Sorry I had to miss it.Everything was packed and ready to go and was looking forward to ring in the new rifle.
Health doesn't always cooperate and sometimes forces a change in plans.
Heard it was a great match,good turnout and some crazy winds.
