ontario transfer time

Any other recent timelines?
Requested one Thursday, one Friday, and one Monday this week.
Have never had a restricted before so expect it may be a bit more than the usual wait?
 
Private sale from Alberta to Ontario. I'n the Ontarian waiting. Called to complete transfer on the Monday Oct 1st and asked to be notified by email when it is completed. Still waiting but I think Thanksgiving has delayed it a bit. So one week so far. Really hope its as fast as it was in the summer.

Also when you guys say you called, are you calling the dealer or the CFO?

Calling the CFO as itā€™s an transfer between 2 private individuals. If that Sig is from a dealer you shouldnā€™t have to call anyone and they should ship it or inform you once the transfer is approved. I would think itā€™s a few days less for a transfer from a business. Was like at a day or two back in May. Hope they can be fast for you and thatā€™s an awesome gift.

Transfer of a new restricted was submitted for me by the retailer last Wednesday (10/10/18) and I just recieved shipping notification today, which is exactly one week later. Things are obviously improving over there.
 
Bought restricted from Ontario retailer on October 10th. Got the pick up transfer on October 16th. The store advised Ontario transfers were about a week at this time and they were pretty much bang on.
 
My transfer time was under a week. My buddy got his in two days and we both purchased from the same retailer 5min apart. It's been 2wks now and we both still have no registration papers. Grrrr!!!

Have you requested an email with proof that the transfer went through? I once waited a month after my transfer was completed before I called to request they send the reg papers again. The first set never did arrive.
 
Waiting on a private sale from ON to BC. Ontario can seriously take up to a month? Why is this not automated? 99.999% of them must be rubber stamp approvals. Seems like such a bureaucratic waste.

Your transfer should be approved by the CFO in the province you reside, not the ON CFO. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
