Sharpi, you're not alone. There are generally 2 people who do transfers at the Ontario CFO office, and during April one was sick and one was on vacation. They are playing catchup now, but it's to be expected.
What actually happens in a CFO office when a transfer request comes in? Anyone know? Check the recipient: valid RPAL (ok), done! What else? Should all be done electronically and cut out the 5 - 7 days in the mail issue.
Mine was Initiated on the 26th of April, I called on May 8th and was told to call back on the 10th and see. I call on the 10th and they say they are back logged and didn't expect it to be done until after May 20th. They are always back logged. No doubt its not the fault of the staff doing the transfers but the excess workload put on a small staff compliment.
Update my transfer was completed today after 12 business days.
Bought 2 pistols in the last month, roughly a week apart from 2 different places, both from other provinces. The first one I bought took over 3 weeks and is to be shipped tomorrow. The second one, which I bought a week later took 2 days, then it was shipped and I've had it over a week already.
