Ontario Transfer Wait Times?

Ordered a Sig on May 25th, emailed that the transfer was complete June 7th, and received it yesterday. All Onterrible. Called the CFO on June 5th just to make sure they didn't need any further info. On the flip side of thing I bought a revolver online at Prophet River and received a notice the next day it was approved and shipping.

This is an example of what is so unacceptable with the Ontario CFO. Here we have a buyer in Ontario getting a transfer complete in 10 business days, after calling in on the 8th day. Then a second transfer in only 1 day. We can all understand if the CFO's office has legitimate delays for what ever reason, but when they are telling us transfers take 2 to 3 weeks and we see other transfers getting complete in a matter of days and others over a month it is not right.

The Ontario CFO's office has proved they can do transfers quick, we have many examples just recently. Do we all have to take time off and call the Ontario CFO's office constantly tying up the phones to "remind" them to do these transfers that are waiting?

May 16 - June 6 for my last purchase. Here's the kick in the teeth. My wife bought a new Jericho baby eagle the morning of June 12 and the transfer was done that afternoon. All in Ontario.

Still waiting on May 10th from Ontario Retailer...........

Called June 5th and was told a couple more days...........two weeks later.........

Have you complained here ??

Because you have taken the time to post here ( a few times) and on the other current thread. Take the time to complain to someone who CAN make a difference.

If you want somebody to make a difference its not going to be the Ontario Ombudsman unless you are drinking the koolaid straight from the bottle.

I post here for the information of the members and to show what is transpiring and for my amusement.

Perhaps take the time to look at the Ontario Ombudsman track record.

The Ombudsman's purpose is to appear that there is a safety valve while deflecting problems that they do not solve as they involve other parts of the Ontario gov which push
back much harder than the Ombudsman is willing or able to play even if they wanted to.

Most of what you see is smoke and mirrors and playfighting between the orgs for appearance sake and jurisdiction.

A couple of bones will be thrown out but serious problems are not going to be solved.

But hey, knock yourself out.

Its just as effective posting here (or doing just about anything else really) than wasting time dealing with the Ombudsman
on anything unless you have a lawyer in tow.

Besides I'm trying to set an Ontario Transfer delay record. ;)

Chances are that every time I post here I get moved back two weeks on the list. :)
