Ontario Transfer Wait Times?

Have done 3 in last 18 months from dealers, all about 4-5 weeks total with middle one "lost" in the mail and reissued so 2 months for that one, seems to be consistent here at a month.
 
wow you guys have some long wait times. did my first private restricted transfer ever (just got my PAL 3 weeks ago) and got my email approval for ab to bc transfer in less that 24hrs. started transfer at 2 pm, got approval email at 11 am the next day.
 
Ontario retail. Placed order late Friday January 5th. Transfer initiated Monday January 8th, finalized January 25th. 14 business days.

When you’re initiating a transfer ask them to email the documents when the transfer is approved. On my last purchase from a private guy I received both my transfer details and the sellers document to release the firearm to me on the same day it was approved. It’s been a week since, and the new registration hasn’t shown up in the mail yet. I’m betting the pistol will arrive here on the same day or before the registration certificate.

I called today about a transfer that I initiated at the beginning of January. I was told it was approved on January 31st. (about 4 weeks total) I had requested email notification but didn't receive it. I have gotten emails in the past so I'm not sure why it got missed this time.
 
Hello gents. I just purchased my first pistol on Saturday. As this is my first time, what am I expected to do on my end. I purchased online from one of this site's sponsors.

Once youve paid the store and they start the transfer all you do is wait for the transfer to be completed. However, I would contact the store and get the ref# so that you can call the cfc to check on its status, you can also ask the cfc to notify you via email once the transfer is complete.

Just talked to the cfc today and transfers are taking 2-4 weeks��
 
Purchase from dealer in Ontario 21 January 2018. My guess it will 4 weeks according to Epps website ....Lengthy transfer times Ontario.

There is literally no rhyme nor reason to the timeline the CFO is extolling for transfers of Restricted firearms. I have seen a customer in our store purchase two Restricted guns at the same time, only to see one transfer take 5 days to receive approval, while the other one took nearly 4 weeks. Both were new guns from the same distributor. There is simply no explanation outside the CFO's office that justifies this kind of delay in processing Restricted firearms transfers, but this is what we live with.
 
My transfer (Ontario CFO) initiated on 3 Jan and approved via email on 25 Jan, so 22 days.

Registration certificate showed up in the mail today (14 Feb), 20 days after the approval. Sure glad I asked for email confirmation for the transfer.
