I just recieved some pics from a well known Hk shooter from Germany. These were taken at a Gunshow.

Basically, the P30 L Sort of what the new HK45 would be in 9mm, sans the lever. The decocking button is on the rear of the frame.

This hk looks alot like the p3000 that was supposed to come out this year, and suddenly they scrapped the project. The grip is different, no changeable back strap visible. Do you know if they incorporated LEM trigger, now that would be cool!

Any word on barrel length?... that same goddamn thing that snags us on half the new guns out there!

The P30 is listed as 98mm.

The gun Maurice posted is clearly longer than the P30 on the German HK site. Is it going to be at least 8mm longer though? (about a third of an inch... an inch being 25.4mm). Maybe we can all have a big group "prayer" for a threaded version. :runaway:

At least the importation of new 105mm-and-under pistols is an area that discriminates equally against everyone. We are all punished the same.

Unless the the 'L" stands for the same thing it does with Glock pistols, the only time any of us see this pistol is through the glass at a U.S. gunshop.

The grip and I think the side pannels are changeable.
It will be nearly the same barrel length of the USP.
totally ambi dextrous. Slide release, mag release are ambi. Rear sight looks to be Novak. The only thing I would change is the front sight to a low profile fibre optic.

Grip looks damn ugly...but I bet its a much more comfortable and ergonomic than the regular USP. Any idea when they will be on sale?

Shouldn't long off, as the P30 is already out. All the bottem end internals should be the same, trigger group. Top end looks to be something they have been working on for a few years. (ie: P3000, HK45)

oooh that must be batman's new crime fighting pistol...baaarf

Can't be his new one because he never used/will use a gun.

the HK45 is nice, but I still like the look and design of the original USPs. Only think I they might have is the handle with finger groves, but that can be fixed on a USP with a Hogue HandAll. and ya that looks just like a M&P.

I had to sell my USP because of "brick" grips (Hogue's wrap-around helps little bit but makes handle wider).
I'm glad HK finally start making pistols for people with non-rectangular palms.

he used a gun against a vampire in one of his first stories.

as for the pistol, well it's ribbed for your pleasure I guess?
