Had some loads that were a little too warm, so I pulled the bullets and salvaged the powder... wanted to neck size to regain the proper tension, and thought I could get away without lubing... done it before with no problems.

So now I've got a case stuck in the die.... ripped the rim right off it. Plus there's a live primer still in the base

How in the hell am I going to get that out???

Get a hammer and a nail. Set the primer off without hurting yourself. Use stuck case remover kit (drill, tap and pull).

There's a few threads on stuck case pulling. Just use the decapping rod to get the primer out and drill and tap the base of the casing. Then using a bolt and washers out it should come. I can`t remember the size but it`s listed in the other stuck case threads. You can put together your own `kit` or buy one. I paid $25 at WSS for an RCBS one.

Edit....beat by a min to it. But no need to set off the primer. Lots of us have removed live primers w/ no isssue

Is the depriming punch, stem and neck expander button still inside the case? I'm assuming the case neck is still in location in the neck sizing portion of the die and you can't remove the stem as it will be sized below the diameter of the expander button. You might try screwing the stem in so that the depriming pin can push the primer out. If you have enough room on the stem for two jam nuts you can use a wrench to increase the depriming force beyond what you can get with a screwdriver. Once the primer is out you can follow the usual stuck case removal procedure.

Ok, so got the primer out without any snaps, bangs or pops, so now I guess I'm shopping for a stuck case remover.

Drill and tap the case to 1/4x 20. Then use a1/4" bolt, washer and a small socket as a spacer and pull the case out. That is exactly what the stuck case remover is.
