Try citric acid. Hell, try a glass of coke yourself. If you really want to know what is in the stuff, YouTube has a bunch of videos of folks making their own flavour syrups for sodas, including cola drinks.

Lemonade flavoured, unsweetened Koolade mix, if you want the trial size without food color that will stain everything purple.

I will stick to citric acid, as I have a 50 pound bag of it that I got for carrying it away.
