op rod pops out

:mad:Lined up my gas cylinder and op rod the other day. Now when I pull it back the charging handle the op rod comes out of the track. It never did this before. What is the fix? Should move it back to where it was before. Dont feel comfortable shooting it like this. Any ideas.

Are you pulling it up as you pull it back?
 
Somehow the geometry must have changed when I alighned the gc with oprod it was out about a quarter inch before I moved it.
 
Check barrel index.
If you time oprod to piston by realigning the oprod guide and the issue you describe appears after the mod. It is one of two things
Tweaked oprod, use straight edges to check for parallelism between oprod arm and tube. Visually inpect for twist at the saddle.

Secondly, barrel index is out causing the oprod to twist as it cycles.
I'd verify index first ;)
