I recently replaced the op rod spring and op rod spring guide in my new shorty Norinco M14. My question is: Should the connector lock stay in place when re-engaged and my new op rod spring and op rod spring guide are in place? If I move the disassmebled rifle, the connector lock will easily slide/fall out of place (not holding in the op rod spring guide) and I am woindering when it is reassembled, what is holding that connector lock in place? Shouldn't the tension from the new spring and spring guide hold the connector lock in place? All feedback is welcomed.
